Over the time I have been running Miód Skincare I often get emails from customers about the alternate uses they have found for my products. This makes me extremely happy. One of the main aims of this range is to keep it simple. Use simple ingredients in the products, and keep the products in the range to a minimum. I believe we already have too much and need to be simplifying as many aspects of our lives as possible, and letting go and clearing out what we no longer need (and the reality is that we need so much less than we think) is a vital part of working towards health and wellness. So knowing that some products can be used for more than one thing is truly awesome!
So here is a list so far:
EXTRA HYDRATING BALM This is a beautiful, very rich and hydrating balm and saviour for any very dry skin areas. As such it is great as a night cream for those prone to and struggling with dry skin, and excellent for dry hands. It is wonderful for ageing skin. My customers also use it for elbows and heels, any dry skin really.
It is also used as a hair wax and my husband’s favourite for this particular purpose.
GENTLE CLEANSING GEL A light gel cleanser particularly favoured by those with normal to oily skin, however some people have also used it as a hair conditioner with great success, resulting in softer and more manageable hair.
HYDRATING FACE MIST This product already has a number of uses being a toner to tone the skin and balance out pH after cleansing. It can be used in conjunction with face creams and oils to improve absorption, and is wonderful to set make up. It’s great to have in your handbag to rehydrate the skin throughout the day, particularly if you work in an air-conditioned office. However it can also be used as a body spray, room spray, to set hair and protect hair prior to blow drying/straightening.
FACE OILS Oils are my favourite way to moisturise the skin, however they can also be used to cleanse the skin. The Miód face oils are all very gentle and full of nutrient rich cold pressed oils that work in harmony with the skin to rebalance over time. Although they are formulated to moisturise, these same oils, particularly the Everyday and Balancing Face Oil, can be used to cleanse. Simply massage into skin, cover face with a warm wet washcloth for about 30 seconds, wipe away and rinse face.
HAND & BODY WASH These are made from a base of castile soap and are very gentle and hydrating, as opposed to conventional soaps which are very drying. My customers have used these as a natural and very gentle shampoo, to wash dishes and even in the washing machine.
If you have found any others I’d love to hear from you, or try out the suggestions above and see what you think.
